SCC Netball Festival 2026

On Saturday, 30 May, St Catherine’s Convent had the privilege of hosting a wonderful Netball Tournament for U/8 to U/13 age groups and we welcomed visiting schools for a day of sport, friendship, and community spirit.

The event was a tremendous success and a true reflection of the values we strive to instil in our learners. From the early hours of the morning, our school grounds were alive with energy and excitement. Players, families, and supporters came together to create an atmosphere that was both competitive and uplifting. Throughout the day, the Netball courts showcased not only impressive ability but also teamwork, resilience, respect, and sportsmanship. It was especially rewarding to see the school buzzing with happiness and excitement. Seeing so many learners enjoying themselves, supporting one another, and taking pride in representing their schools was a reminder of the positive impact that sport can have on a community. The smiles, encouragement, and enthusiasm displayed throughout the day created an atmosphere that was truly special. Events such as these remind us that sport is about much more than results. They provide opportunities for learners to build confidence, form meaningful friendships, develop leadership skills, and create lasting memories.

The tournament brought together learners from different schools and backgrounds, united by their shared love of Netball. Most importantly, we congratulate all the players who participated. Their commitment, determination, and passion were evident in every game. They played with heart, represented their schools with pride, and contributed to a memorable day that will be remembered by all who attended. We are incredibly proud of every learner who took part.
