School Admission Process

At St Catherine’s Convent, we strive to make the admission process as smooth and transparent as possible. Our simple, step-by-step procedure ensures that each applicant has the best chance for success. To get started, follow these easy steps:

    1. Submit an application

    Complete the following forms and submit the completed copy online via email to maggie.handley@stcatherines.co.za or hand deliver a copy to our school office.

      2. Supporting document checklist:

      Please include the following supporting documents with your daughter’s application:

      • Latest School Report
      • Birth Certificate
      • Baptism Certificate (if applicable)
      • Vaccination Certificate
      • Recent Head and Shoulder photo
      • Parent Identity Documents
      • Proof of Residence
      • Final Statement from last school attended
      • Debit Order Authorisation Form
      • Proof of payment of R400 Application Fee

      3. Entrance examination

      High school applicants may be required to complete an entrance examination and primary school applicants to complete a school readiness examination.

      4. Attend an Interview

      Where necessary, prospective students may be requested to attend an interview with the relevant Head of Department for the phase.

        5. Admission confirmation

        Once all the necessary information has been received and processed, an acceptance or admission offer will be sent to successful applicants.

          6. CAPEX and book fee payment

          Relevant fees will be communicated for the grade applied for.

            7. Induction information

            Comprehensive information will be sent to assist parents and learners to prepare for the grade applied for.
