Making powerful connections

The Past Pupils’ Association of St Catherine’s Convent was launched on 18 May 2024 at an event held in the school hall.  More than 150 past pupils attended this wonderful and exciting event.  Present were past pupils who were in the first Matric class of 1962 and some who had recently matriculated and many in between.

The purpose of the Past Pupils’ Association is to promote and maintain social ties between former pupils, parents and teachers for the benefit of the St Catherine’s family past, present and future.  Members of the Association will have the opportunity to participate in Past Pupil Association events ( many of which will have a gender positive flair); members will be able to connect and network locally and globally; they will be able to share professional learning opportunities; they will have the opportunity to offer their expertise and experience to support and mentor the younger St Catherine’s  generation; the Association will raise funds for the school; and promote the good name of St Catherine’s Convent.

An Inaugural Meeting of the Past Pupils’ Association was held on 29 June 2024 and a committee was elected.  This committee is establishing the framework within which the Past Pupils’ Association will work.  It is also planning exciting and fun filled events to be held in 2025 that will provide a wide range of interests for all the generations of Past Pupils.  Future events will be published on this website.

The Committee is compiling a database of Past Pupils.  While many of the Past Pupils are on the database, there are many who are not.  Some of the details of those on the database are missing.  Please click on the link and add your details so that we can update the database. Parents, teachers and friends of St Catherine’s are also invited to register on the database.  Correspondence will be via email or WhatsApp, so it is essential that we have you correct details.
