St Catherine’s is privileged to have a dance studio on its premises, allowing our learners to explore the art of dancing. Designed to Dance Studio’s junior ballet pupils recently completed their Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations, marking the culmination of months of dedicated training, perseverance and growth. Behind every graceful step, pointed toe, and smiling face are months of practice, perseverance, and determination. RAD examinations are internationally recognised and assess not only technique, but also musicality, artistry and confidence. For many of our younger dancers, this was their first formal examination experience, making their achievements even more special.
We are incredibly proud to share that every pupil achieved a pass, a wonderful reflection of their commitment, hard work and love for dance. Congratulations to all our young ballerinas! We are incredibly proud of your hard work. A huge thank you to our wonderful parents for your continued support—from getting dancers to class each week to cheering them on throughout their exam journey.
With exams now behind us, our focus shifts to the exciting Roodepoort Dance Festival, taking place at the Roodepoort Theatre from 5–18 September. Our dancers are looking forward to proudly representing both Designed to Dance Studio and St Catherine’s Convent as they take to the stage, showcasing their talent, creativity and passion. We wish them every success as they continue to grow through these valuable performance opportunities.
