From dreaming about this day in Grade 4, to planning our dress colours in Grade 8, to receiving our teasers and invitations, and finally seeing it all come to life, the journey to our Matric Dance was one we will never forget. On the 16th of April 2026, the St Catherine’s Convent Class of 2026 saw their dreams come true at the Enchanted Garden-themed Matric Dance. The evening was truly magical and the memories we made will be cherished forever.

In the lead-up to the highly anticipated event, we were spoiled with a beautiful picnic where we received our invitations. We were gifted stunning flowers and thoughtfully designed invitations, making us feel incredibly special. We are extremely grateful for the effort and care that went into creating such a memorable experience for us.

The celebrations continued on the night of the Dance itself. After making our grand entrances, we were welcomed with drinks and light refreshments and had the opportunity to spend time together before the evening’s festivities began. The night became even more magical as we walked down the red carpet, enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal, listened to heartfelt speeches, and, of course, spent time dancing.

The evening was filled with joy, laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments. From the energy on the dance floor  to meaningful traditions such as the Candle Ceremony, every part of the evening contributed to making it truly special. We could not have asked for a more wonderful night.

On behalf of the Class of 2026, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for such a well-organised, memorable, and once-in-a-lifetime event. The 16th of April 2026 will always remain a special night, forever imprinted on our hearts.
