On 21 August the SCC hall was transformed into an ongoing murder mystery as the Drama Club brought to life the vision of their talented drama captain and director.

Under the guidance of our skilled teachers we managed to fully step into our characters and make them our own. Of course this didn’t just happen overnight, we’ve  been working on bringing this play to life for months and in the end it was all worth it. I cannot forget to mention our SCC Technical Events Crew who mastered the art of perfect spotlights and seamless scene changes; without them no production could ever happen.

On the evening of the Production the usual performance butterflies in the stomach fluttered across the classroom but ,before we stepped on stage, we said a prayer thanking God for this wonderful talent he has given to us. This gave us the all the confidence we needed because we put on an Oscar-winning performance. The audience was fully immersed by the experience as they gasped, whipped their heads with every plot twist and massaged their temples because nothing added up. Nonetheless, every discovery thickened the plot and made sense in the end. The day marked the last curtain call for our grade elevens, who promised they wouldn’t cry but the bright lights got the best of them and they shed a few tears.  I couldn’t think of a better way to end our drama days than with SCC’s very own original production ‘One House Down’.  Now I know that you’re wondering which house was it  – Catherine, Thomas or Dominic – I guess you will never know if you missed the one night only showing of SCC’s 2026 high school production.
