Our High School learners danced the night away at St Catherine Convent’s annual Valentine’s Day Dance. We spent night on the dance floor under neon lights and listening to good music. The hall was decorated perfectly! There were newspapers taped to the wall with neon writing on them, creating the perfect backdrop for our Instagram pictures. There was a super cute photobooth which came with fun, cool props. The vibe in the hall felt electric as music played and we danced all night. The music was phenomenal. DJ Ry-Mc and DJ lxk took as all the way back in time by playing famous old hits such as Can We Talk by Tevin Campbell and Touch My Body by the legendary Mariah Carey. The DJ’s understood us when we said that “2026 is the new 2016” by playing the most iconic song of that time: Black Beatles. Throughout the night the dancefloor was never empty. Whether it was Amapiano hits, RnB, or HipHop, there were always people on the dancefloor. To keep our energy up for dancing and singing ,the school provided us with pizza and cooldrink. This is not just an event for SCC students as outside dates were allowed and that packed the dance floor and made it feel so full of life. Glow in the dark accessories were also given to us so that we could glow in the moment. This Valentine’s Dance is not just ANY school event – this is event to enjoy and celebrate the season of love and create the best memories of your time at St Catherine’s Convent.
