St Catherine’s Convent is an independent English-medium girls-only Catholic school. We enroll all female pupils – irrespective of race, nationality or ethnicity – according to the criteria set out in the Admissions Policy. St Catherine’s is registered with the Independent Examinations Board and learners in Grade 12 write the IEB final exams. While St Catherine’s Convent does not discriminate on religious grounds in terms of admission, learners who are enrolled at St Catherine’s are expected to attend various religious classes and activities, such as Masses and religious education lessons that are specific to the Catholic faith. There is a growing demand for quality private education and a great demand for places at St Catherine’s Convent. We urge parents and guardians to apply early for placement as many of our grades, particularly those in the Foundation Phase and Grade 8, fill up quickly. St Catherine’s Convent has an Open Day for prospective parents. Please contact Reception to ascertain when this will take place.
