Objectives and Vision
Our school seeks to care for and develop the whole person in order to develop young people who can reach their full potential in all areas of their life.
The objectives of St Catherine’s Convent, arising out of our vision and mission are:
To develop the whole person of our learners – spiritually, emotionally, academically, culturally and physically – so that they may make a meaningful contribution to society.
To instill in learners the key values of a love for learning, commitment to truth, love, respect and service to their fellow human beings.
To provide a high quality yet affordable academic education to our learners.
To provide a rewarding and fulfilling working environment to our educators where they are encouraged to use their creativity and initiative.
To foster a respect for the culture and religious values of all people.
To foster a willingness to serve in a spirit of healing and reconciliation, flowing from an appreciation of the Word of God and a deep commitment to Christ.
A Message from the Principal
“There are plenty of educational institutions, all of which impart learning, but it is our prayer that our girls go out into the world in a unique manner – with the strength, ability and passion not only to reach and excel in their professional aspirations, but to remain beautiful human beings.
A school is always a ‘world in miniature’, which imparts ‘training for life’ where effective, meaningful and joyful learning takes place. It is here that we begin to learn our lessons of life – to accept challenges, to face competition, to accept defeat and failure, and to rejoice at victory and triumph.
St Catherine’s Convent is a symbol of progressive and quality education. Our motto is “VERITAS” which means Truth and Truth captures the essence of our spirit. We aim to provide forward-looking education of the highest quality based on a tradition that goes back over seven hundred years.
Our girls evolve as well-rounded individuals who have honed their skills in the microcosm of the school and are equipped to lead and inspire in the macrocosm of the world.
Our school is scaling new heights with excellent and reputable professionals training our girls in a range of co-curricular activities. Most importantly, at the school, we are a team of dedicated teachers and staff, committed to the welfare of the children in our care. For us teaching is a passion and a calling. The importance of instilling good values in our students is our prime objective.”
